Flashing New Hampton Traffic Lights Will Do So for Awhile
It’s been a week-and-a-half since the traffic lights on one of New Hampton’s busiest roads stopped working properly.
Thus, the traffic signals at the corner of Linn Avenue (Business Highway 63) and Prospect Street have been flashing yellow for north-south traffic on Linn and flashing red for east-west traffic on Prospect since July 13th.
Mayor Bobby Schwickerath says it’s the latest set of traffic signals that need to be fixed, but it’ll take time.
Last month, the City Council approved replacing the controllers for the traffic signals on Main Street. Schwickerath says fixing all of the lights will total about $26,000.
