Floyd County/ISU Extension Horticulture Field Day Saturday (08.05) Near Nashua

Floyd County/ISU Extension will host a Horticulture Field Day at the ISU Northeast Research and Demonstration Farm near Nashua on Saturday (08.05).

In addition to growing tips, Floyd County Extension Director Lesley Millius says the program features her presentation on Produce Basics to properly and safely store, clean, and prepare fresh produce.

Millius says the program also features Patrick O’Malley, ISU Extension Horticulture Specialist.

Millius adds that the program from 1 to 4:30 pm Saturday is free of charge and no pre-registration is required.

Directions: From Nashua at the Jct. of Hwy 218 (Exit 220) and Co. Rd. B60, go west on B60 1.1 miles to Windfall Ave., then south 1 mile to 290th St., then east 0.2 miles to the farm. CCA credits will be available.
