Charles City Police Investigate Vandalism Ahead of National Night Out Event

Many attendees at the National Night Out event Tuesday (08.01) in Central Park, hosted by the Charles City police Department, probably weren’t aware that the area was subjected to vandalism the night before.

That’s Police Chief Hugh Anderson, who says the public can help CCPD investigate cases like these by sharing their security camera footage.

Anderson commends the work of the Charles City Park-Rec Department to clean up the spray paint in advance of the National Night Out festivities, which this year did not include an appearance by the MercyOne AirMed helicopter.

Anyone with information about the spray paint vandalism is asked to contact CCPD.
