Various agencies will participate in a mock active shooter drill Monday in Cresco.
A Cresco Police Department Facebook post says CPD, the Howard County Sheriff’s Office, Cresco Fire Department, Regional Health Services Ambulance and the Howard County First Responders, plus Howard County Emergency Management, will be participating in a mock active shooter at Crestwood High School on August 14th. This training will provide first responders with experience on how to respond and act during an active shooter situation.
Authorities want to assure the public that if you see or hear emergency personnel at the high school on Monday, everything is ok. They are conducting a training/exercise.
