Chickasaw County EMS will host an Open House Wednesday (08.16) evening in Fredericksburg, now home base for the department’s third ambulance.
The County has two rigs stationed in New Hampton and the third unit is now operating out of the Fredericksburg Fire Station. EMS Director Joel Knutson says having three ambulances greatly enhances their service.
Knutson says the Open House is an opportunity for the public to see the ambulance and to learn how they can become part of the crew.
Knutson says EMS plans to host CPR and EMT certification classes this fall, with the hopes that those who become certified will join the Chickasaw County EMS department.Â
The Open House is from 4 to 7 pm Wednesday at the Fredericksburg Community Center.
