Fourth Guilty Plea in Northeast Iowa Prostitution Investigation

A fourth subject has pleaded guilty in a northeast Iowa prostitution operation.

The Winneshiek County Sheriff’s Office arrested 49-year-old Bradley Kamaus of Fort Atkinson in May on three counts of prostitution and his trial was set for September 20th. However, Tuesday (08.15), Kamaus pleaded guilty, acknowledging that he paid three different women for sex in his residence in January.

According to court documents, his plea deal includes the understanding he could get a two-year suspended sentence for each count with supervised probation to run concurrently, plus fines. No sentencing date has been set.

All three women Kamaus paid to have sex with have pleaded guilty to prostitution charges. 38-year-old Ashley Rochford and 29-year-old Nicole Burgos, both of Oelwein, plus 38-year-old Kayle Harting of Aurora, each received two-years probation and ordered to pay fines.

52-year-old Trent Fitzpatrick of Oelwein was also arrested as part of the original January investigation. He has pleaded not guilty to pimping, a Class D felony, and is scheduled for trial September 20th in Winneshiek County District Court.

Kamaus is also connected to prostitution in West Union, where he told police he paid 30-year-old Jenna McLaury of West Union $750 for sex on two occasions. McLaury initially pleaded not guilty to two counts of prostitution, but a hearing has been set for October 4th in Fayette County District Court in which she is expected to change her plea to guilty.
