MidAmerican Energy has issued a SummerSaverS event for Thursday (08.24).
Participants in the program may notice your air conditioner cycling on and off periodically from 2 to 7 p.m. in order to conserve energy. This is the fourth SummerSaver event of the 2023 season.
MidAemrican says the program helps save customers money, earns them an annual credit on their utility bill and helps conserve energy during times of peak demand.
The SummerSaver program runs from June 1 to September 30. It allows MidAmerican to control participants’ air conditioning units on the hottest weekdays between 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. or for shorter periods within those hours. MidAmerican will not conduct SummerSaver on weekends or holidays.
