North Iowa Student-Athletes Selected Beck’s “Players with Heart”
A pair of north Iowa high school female student-athletes have been recognized for their efforts in sports and in agriculture.
Charles City’s Lauren Staudt was nominated this week as a Beck’s Hybrids’ “Player with Heart†for her commitment and passion in basketball, softball, and track. She’s also involved with PAL’s and Charles City FFA.
Staudt told Radio Iowa’s Todd Kimm that sports and agriculture require the same traits for success.
Staudt plans to attend Iowa State to major in a business related field.Â
Also nominated as a Beck’s Player with Heart is Kaycee Wiebke of North Butler High School. Wiebke plays volleyball and basketball and is involved with student council, county council, FFA, and 4-H.
Wiebke told Radio Iowa’s Todd Kimm that a key for her participation in school, sports and agriculture is time management.
Wiebke’s future plans are to attend Ellsworth and study Ag Business and Equine Management.
