Northeast Iowa Motorcyclist Dies in Collision with Trailer 

A motorcycle rider is dead after colliding with the trailer of a pickup in northeast Iowa.

The Iowa State Patrol says the crash occurred on Highway Iowa 76 in Allamakee County shortly before 7 pm Wednesday night.  32-year-old Cody Bauer of Dubuque, was driving a truck northbound when attempted to make a U-turn at Sandhill Road and head south.  A northbound motorcycle operated by 60-year-old Kerry Nuehring of Waukon then struck the trailer being pulled by Bauer’s pickup.

The State Patrol says Neuhring was thrown from his cycle and pronounced dead at the scene.  This collision remains under investigation.

The Allamakee County Sheriff’s Office, Waukon police and fire departments, Veterans Memorial Hospital Ambulance, and Danny Mac’s Towing assisted at the scene.
