Purple Heart Tour Hosts Appreciation Celebration in Nashua

Purple Heart Tour will host an Appreciation Celebration in Nashua Saturday (09.09).

Jamey Welter says the Purple Heart Tour brings over two dozen special op veterans,  both active duty and retired, to northeast Iowa each year for a variety of hunting trips, which offer troops an opportunity to transition back to regular home life.

Welter adds that troops who have come to northeast Iowa also help The Purple Heart Tour spread the word to others who may benefit from the experience.

Saturday’s Appreciation Celebration in Nashua includes a golf tournament, which Welter says is full, but he invites the public to “The B,” formerly the Bradford House in Nashua for a fun night of live music, raffle prizes, live auction items and food, starting at 4 pm.

All proceeds go to enhancing the troops hunting experience in NE Iowa
