Halloween Hike at Twin Ponds Nature Center Tuesday

Chickasaw County Conservationâ€™s annual Halloween Hikes are this Tuesday (10.10) at the Twin Ponds Nature Center southeast of Ionia.

Naturalist Matt Crayne invites area elementary-aged children to join in the non-scary nature walk.

Hikes will depart at 6 pm, 6:15 pm, 6:30 pm and 6:45 pm. Crayne says there will also be refreshments courtesy of New Hampton 8th grade students.

Crayne adds that while the event is free, but youâ€™re advised to reserve your hike time slot by calling 641-394-4714.Â

Donations to the Friends of Chickasaw County Conservation are welcome to help cover the costs of the programs they provide.Â
