Northeast Iowa Juveniles Run Away, Steal Car, Get Caught

A pair of northeast Iowa juveniles who allegedly stole a vehicle were apprehended south of the Nashua Country Club early Tuesday (10.17)
The Chickasaw County Sheriff’s Office says they were called to the 1000 block of Asherton Avenue, shortly after 2 am Tuesday morning, after the reporting party told authorities that two suspicious juveniles had asked them for assistance because the vehicle they were driving had broken down.
Deputies arrived on scene and determined that the two juveniles had been reported as runaways from the Bremwood Youth Services Center in Waverly. They also learned that the vehicle had been stolen from a residence in Waverly. Â
The juveniles were transported and turned over to the Waverly Police Department. Â
