There were no injuries reported after a minor explosion at a north Iowa ethanol plant.
Butler County Emergency Management Agency says fire crews were at Poet Bioprocessing near Shell Rock for over an hour and a half Saturday (11.25) afternoon clearing the scene. Officials confirmed it was a small explosion and no one was hurt.
The investigation is ongoing into the cause of the explosion.Â
The Shell Rock, Clarksville and Waverly fire departments, Shell Rock First Responders, Clarksville and Butler County EMS, Waverly paramedics, Butler County Sheriff’s Department, Butler County Dispatchers, and the Iowa State Patrol also responded to the scene.
