Floyd County Sheriff’s Office Puts Down Razors for Cancer
Once again, during the month of November, the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office set razors aside to raise money for those battling cancer.Â
For the 12th year, members of the Sheriff’s Office participated in “No Shave November†on behalf of the Floyd County Cancer Fund. Lieutenant Deputy Travis Bartz says, as of Wednesday (11.29), the department raised about $7500, with more still coming in.  Â
This year’s efforts bring their 12-year total of funds raised to over $64,000, with all the money staying in Floyd County to help offset costs for cancer families.
Bartz thanks all the people and businesses that donated, because we are ALL affected by cancer in some way.
He adds that donations can be made year round at First Citizens Bank in Charles City.
