For the past couple of weekends, New Hampton residents have been receiving individual 65-gallon garbage bins for the City’s new automated waste collection system.
However, some of the bins from the City’s waste contractor, Jendro Sanitation, were apparently not so new, according to Mayor Bobby Schwickerath.
Schwickerath encourages residents who need to make a garbage bin swap to do so soon.Â
The City is utilizing Solid Waste funds to help pay for the new garbage bins, which will help delay the start of the monthly fee of $13.99 charged to residents until February 1, 2024.Â
