Sales of fresh strawberries to support the Food and Consumer Science (FCS) program at New Hampton High School are coming to a close.
FCS teacher April Schmitt says proceeds from strawberry sales help provide students practical food handling, preparation and cooking experience.
Schmitt adds that strawberry sales also pay for FCS classroom equipment, which has been putting students on the path to paying jobs.
Strawberries are available in flats of four quarts for $18 or a full flat of eight quarts for $32. All strawberry orders are due by Wednesday with delivery expected the week of February 26th.Â
