New Shared Superintendent Named for North Butler, Clarksville Schools

A former Minnesota school superintendent has been tabbed as the next shared superintendent for the North Butler and Clarksville Community School Districts.

Tuesday (02.13), the School Boards named Bryan Boysen to take over the position of outgoing shared Superintendent Mark Olmstead, whose tenure will end June 30th.

Boysen most recently served as superintendent and elementary principal in the Kenyon-Wanamingo School District in Wanamingo, Minnesota, where he oversaw district operations, supervised all staff, and successfully led an operational referendum approval in 2021. He also served as superintendent and elementary principal of Lyle Public School in Minnesota.

Boysen said in a statement, “It was an honor and a privilege to interview in such wonderful school buildings.  The whole process was seamless and welcoming to me. I look forward to serving the communities of the North Butler and Clarksville school districts!”

Board members worked with Grundmeyer Leader Services to conduct the search. Boysen and two other finalists interviewed with groups consisting of parents, teachers, and community members on Monday (02.12) before being offered a contract.
