More Rock Throwing, More Broken Windows in Mason City

Twice in a three-day period, Mason City Police (MCPD) have had to investigate more than a half-dozen building and/or vehicle windows shattered by a subject or subjects throwing rocks in less than three hours.

MCPD says they received seven calls of house and vehicle windows being broken out with rocks, sometime between midnight and 2:30 am Saturday (03.16) morning. The latest incidents occurred on the following streets:

1700 Block of South Coolidge

600 Block of South Polk                                                             

1500 Block of North Adams

700 Block of North Carolina

900 to 1300 blocks of North Hampshire

1000 Block of 1st St NE

MCPD also responded to seven similar acts of vandalism between 4:45 and 5:15 am Thursday (03.14) in these areas:

800-900 block of 6th St SE                                                                 

1000 to 1100 block of Crestmore Way                                         

1200 block Manor Drive                                                               

1000 to 1100 block of 6th St SW                                                          

MCPD is asking for residents to check their camera footage and to call law enforcement at 641-421-3636 if they have any information.
