NIACC President Schulz Less Than Three Months from Retirement

North Iowa Area Community College (NIACC) President Steve Schulz is now less than three months from retiring.

Schulz says his great ride as NIACC President for the last 10-and-a-half years will come to an end June 28th.

Schulz adds that he’s enjoyed his long career in education.

Under Schulz’s leadership, NIACC has achieved a consistent ranking by the Aspen Institute as one of the top 150 community colleges nationwide.  He also launched the Regional Career Center in Forest City and is about to open a new Career Academy in Charles City.

Last week, the NIACC Board of Trustees interviewed five candidates to replace Schulz, with a meeting slated later this week to review and likely offer a contract to its next president, with that announcement expected on April 11th.

The new NIACC President will start July 1st.
