2028 Bridge Replacement Proposed on U.S. 18 Near Floyd-Chickasaw County Line

The Iowa Department of Transportation (DOT) is seeking public input on a  bridge replacement project near the Floyd-Chickasaw county line that is four years away from construction.

The DOT is offering a virtual public information meeting to discuss a proposed bridge replacement on U.S. Highway 18 over the Little Cedar River, one mile east of Floyd County Road T-74. 

During construction, officially in Chickasaw County, traffic will be detoured using Chickasaw and Floyd County roads T-76, B-57, and T-66. Construction is anticipated for 2028.

Those wishing to weigh in on the project can attend a virtual presentation anytime between Tuesday, April 3, 2024 and Friday, April 12, 2024 on the DOT website, which will provide information about the project and allow for  public feedback.
