With temperatures pushing into the 80s last weekend, and with Memorial Day Weekend nearing, Charles City Fire Department (CCFD) is poised to help you be prepared for the summer season.
CCFD is offering to fill the personal swimming pools of residents within or relatively close to the fire district they serve. There’s no limit on pool size, but filling your pool will cost $50 per truckload of water.Â
Available spots themselves could fill up fast, so those interested can get on the list by contacting the fire station at 641-257-6313 or call 641-229-1436.
As for those waiting for the Lions Field municipal pool to open in Charles City. The pool will open Memorial Day Monday (05.27) and will be open daily from 1 to 6 pm throughout the season.
The New Hampton municipal swimming pool and splash pad are also scheduled to open for the season on Memorial Day.
