Charles City Flooding Update at 7 pm Sunday (06.23)

Latest Charles City flooding update with City Administrator Steve Diers via Facebook live in Floyd County Iowa Emergency Management Agency at 7 pm Sunday (06.23).

Highlights:

*Crest of about 20.5 feet could occur about 1 am Monday (06.24)  morning

*Main Street bridge is being closed due to the debris that has been coming downstream and colliding with bridge. Closing just to be safe

*Brantingham bridge remains open and its hopeful it will remain open during course of the flooding, but that could change.

*Road closures continue to increase

*Sandbags are still available to those who need them in the Hy-Vee parking lot
