Charles City Rotary Hands Out Awards, Recognition

The Charles City Rotary Club held its 2024 “Pass the Buck Awards and Recognition Night” last week.

Outgoing President Bill Feller said the annual event is a celebration of Rotary’s mission.

Linda Klemsrud received the Paul Garthwaite Memorial Award as Rotarian of the Year.

Mike Molstead was recognized for sharing his battle with cancer with the Leo Lidd Vocational Service Award.

Jessie Schultz is taking over as the new Rotary Club President.

The Charles City Rotary Club also awarded $1,000 scholarships to both Taylor Quade and Josette Benning for outstanding high school graduating seniors based on their scholastic, extracurricular and community activities and achievements.
