Familiar Faces on Stage for Party in the Park Friday (07.26)

Familiar faces makeup a foursome of entertainment for the next Party in the Park (PIP) in Charles City.

Area residents and former Endless Summer band members, Gene Parson, Med Lewis, Bruce Carr and Gary Parson, will take the stage with their new group, “Endless Edition,” at the rescheduled PIP event  on Friday (07.26) night in Central Park. “Endless Edition” includes members of the Iowa Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, as well as Midwest All-Musician Association Hall of Fame, playing the best of 1960-80s rock & roll and country music.

In addition to free admission and live music from 5 to 9 pm, each PIP offers food and beverage vendors in the park, a beer garden, various activities and display booths. Activities planned for this week include the Cambrex Splash Chair, face painting, Floyd County Museum Tractor Display, pedal cars, barrel train rides, ring toss and yard games.

Special PIP Tokens will be used to purchase food, beverages or take part in some of the activities and are available for $1 each at the Main Street Charles City tent. The orange tokens are good at all PIP events this year, as well as in future years. Leftover tokens from 2023 are also still good, but any PIP tokens dated prior to last year are not.
