Charles City Police w/ Chief Hugh Anderson: National Night Out on Tuesday, Back To School Safety & Code Enforcement Officer Opening

Charles City Police Chief Hugh Anderson joined the morning show on Friday (8/2/24) for Community Conversations in which he spoke about the upcoming National Night Out on Tuesday (8/6/24) from 5:00pm to 7:30pm in Central Park in which KCHA’s Kay Winkelman and Chris Berg will participate in the water ball challenge. He also spoke about back to school safety, searching for the next Code Enforcement Officer along with the reception for retiring former Charles City Fire Chief Marty Parcher (Today from 3:00pm to 5:30pm at the fire department)

Chris was born in Webster City and raised in Charles City, which basically means he’s been corn‑fed and radio‑bred since day one. As a kid, he was always caught singing along to the radio — and while he’ll tell you he’s great at karaoke, let’s just say the audience’s ears often file a noise complaint. When he’s not busy butchering ‘80s power ballads, Chris enjoys starting overly ambitious home projects that rarely make it past the “great idea” stage. He lives in Charles City with his endlessly patient wife Vicki and their kids, Brynlee and Jaxon, who have already perfected the art of the eye‑roll every time Dad cracks another “dad joke.”
