WIC Breastfeeding Peer Counselor Amy Kubik: August is National Breastfeeding Month; Upcoming Breastfeeding Events in Charles City & Garner

Amy Kubik, a breastfeeding peer counselor with the Iowa WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) was a guest on Community Conversations on Tuesday (8/13/24) to talk about her role, support that’s offered to breastfeeding mothers along with a few upcoming events to celebrate National Breastfeeding Month.

The Garner breastfeeding event in Garner will be held Tuesday August 20th from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at the Extension Office in Garner while the Charles City event will be held on Tuesday August 27th from 9:30 am to 11:00 am at the North Iowa Community Action Organization office (The former TLC building on Jackson St).

He lives in Charles City with his endlessly patient wife Vicki and their kids, Brynlee and Jaxon, who have already perfected the art of the eye‑roll every time Dad cracks another “dad joke.”
