Authorities are asking for the public’s help with information on vandalism to facilities at the Big 4 Fairgrounds in Nashua.
A Big 4 Fair Facebook post on Friday (08.16) afternoon asked, “Where do you even begin? Shame on the unproductive members of society who decided to break into the fairgrounds to vandalize and cause thousands of dollars in damages.”
Chickasaw County Sheriff Ryan Shawver says the incident occurred prior to the morning of August 12th, but the exact date and time are unknown. All of the fire extinguishers were discharged in three separate buildings and the estimated damage is over $1,000.
Big 4 Fair Facebook pictures of the damages show the the dispersal of the fire extinguishers as well as a bathroom that was trashed, with a mirror shattered and soap dispenser ripped off the wall.
Shawver says the investigation is ongoing and anyone with any information can call the Chickasaw County Sheriff’s Office.
