Minnesota Man Killed in Single-Vehicle Weekend Crash in North Iowa

A southern Minnesota man is dead following a weekend pickup truck crash in North Iowa.
The Iowa State Patrol (ISP) says 63-year-old Mark Claassen of Albert Lea was driving a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado south on 200th Avenue in Winnebago County when he failed to negotiate a curve near 485th Street. The State Patrol says the Silverado went off the road, rolled several times, and Claassen was ejected from the truck, shortly after 10:30 am Saturday morning.
Claassen was pronounced dead at the scene. The ISP says he was not wearing a seat belt.
The Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office, Lake Mills Police Department, Lake Mills Fire Department, Scarville Fire Department, Forest City Ambulance, and Dick’s Towing also assisted at the scene.
