PAWS Humane Society is hosting its latest “Chips for Pets” event Wednesday (08.21) at the Avenue of the Saints Vet Clinic in Charles City.
Jamie Peichel with PAWS says the walk-in event allows Floyd County dog and/or cat owners to get up to two pets microchipped.
Peichel adds that the microchip can also serve like a “fingerprint” to help ensure a pet that goes missing can be returned to the correct owner.
Hours for walk-in microchipping of pets Wednesday are 9 am to noon and 1 to 4 pm, though Peichel says if those hours don’t work for a pet owner, they can call the clinic for an appointment.
