The Charles City Chamber of Commerce will host two Lunch & Learn sessions the week of August 26th.
On Monday (08.26), Floyd County Extension presents “Unlocking the Secrets of Social Media for Businesses and Organizations.” Learn how to get started in social media and why it is important to have a social media presence. There is no charge to attend from 12:15 to 1 pm in the Zastrow Room of the Charles City Public Library.
Participants are welcome to bring their own lunch and eat during the workshop. Water and cookies will be provided.
Another free Lunch & Learn from noon to 1 pm on Thursday (08.29) also in the library’s Zastrow Room, will feature the Floyd County Community Foundation providing information for non-profit organizations interested in applying for 2024 FCCF grants. The workshop will cover the grant guidelines, budget template and application process, as well as provide grant writing tips.
There will be a question-and-answer session and lunch is provided. While there is no charge, participants are asked to RSVP to either Floyd County Community Foundation or the Chamber.
