Woman charged after two-vehicle accident near Clear Lake

CLEAR LAKE — Charges have been filed after an accident last Friday in rural Clear Lake.
The Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Office says they were called shortly before 7 o’clock Friday night to a two-vehicle injury accident at the intersection of County Road B-20 and Killdeer Avenue. A pickup truck driven by 38-year-old Hillary Hermen of Mason City was northbound on Killdeer when she entered the intersection in front of a car driven by 27-year-old Izabela Pavlicek of Albert Lea, with Pavlicek broadsiding Herman’s vehicle.
Hermen was not injured, but Pavlicek and a passenger in her car, 32-year-old Ashley Holst of Albert Lea, received non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the accident. They were taken by a private vehicle to the hospital in Albert Lea for treatment.
Hermen was arrested at the scene and charged with second-offense operating while intoxicated and failure to yield the right of way.
