Joyce Arlene Cavanaugh, 92, Charles City

Joyce Arlene Cavanaugh age 92 of Charles City passed away peacefully on Friday, September 13, 2024 at New Hampton Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, September 20, 2024 at Holy Family Parish in New Hampton with Rev. Mark Osterhaus celebrating the service. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in New Hampton.

Friends may greet the family from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 19, 2024 at Hugeback-Johnson Funeral Home & Crematory in New Hampton. Visitation continues an hour prior to the Mass on Friday at the church.

Chris was born in Webster City and raised in Charles City, which basically means he’s been corn‑fed and radio‑bred since day one. He lives in Charles City with his endlessly patient wife Vicki and their kids, Brynlee and Jaxon, who have already perfected the art of the eye‑roll every time Dad cracks another “dad joke.”
