Operation Golden Hawk Hosts “Veteran Stand Down” Saturday (09.28) in Mason City

Operation Golden Hawk will host its annual “Veteran Stand Down” for northern Iowa and southern Minnesota veterans Saturday (09.28) in Mason City.

Vice President Greg Benedict says they expect to help the most veterans they have in the event’s three year history.

Benedict says the Stand Down is about getting veterans the help they need.

Benedict says the free opportunities for veterans don’t end there.

Pre-registration is preferred, but veterans can just show up Saturday when doors at the All Seasons building of the North Iowa Events Center open at 7 am. The Stand Down officially starts at 8 am.

Volunteers are also welcome to help with setup starting at 8 pm Friday (09.27) night and throughout the event itself.

A link for registration for veterans and volunteers, as well as more event information is available at North Iowa-Southern Minnesota Veterans Stand Down on Facebook.
