One person is dead following a tractor versus train collision in Northeast Iowa
The Winneshiek County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) says they received a call around 2:30 pm Monday (10.07) afternoon that the wreck occurred at the intersection of Highway 24 and 128th Street between Fort Atkinson and Jackson Junction. The wreck resulted in a fatal injury to one unidentified person and is under investigation by WCSO and Canadian Pacific Railway.
Multiple emergency crews responded to and assisted at the scene.
WCSO says additional details will be released at a later time when the investigation is complete.
