Charles City VFW Post #3914 is celebrating a historic milestone this weekend.
That’s Post Commander Denny Hull, who says Saturday’s (10.19) birthday will include cake, snacks, military-themed drinks, raffles for prizes and a DJ from 5 to 9 pm. Donate a canned food item and get 50-cents off your first drink.
Hull says the party is open to the public, which, like veterans, can also take advantage of the VFW’s medical equipment loaner program.
Hull adds that the VFW serves Tuesday night meals from 5 to 7 pm the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month, with a lasagna dinner scheduled for October 22nd. They will also serve their next Sunday breakfast on October 27th. Both are free will donations.
