Record 33 Vendors for 29th Spookwalk in Charles City

A record 33 businesses and nonprofit organizations participated in the 29th Spookwalk Monday (10.28) in Charles City, handing out treats to hundreds of kids.
This year’s theme was “It’s the Great Pumpkin Charles City,” a spin on the Peanuts animated classic, “It’s the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown.”
Mackenzie McNeil and Floyd County Medical Center was judged Best Overall Display.
Pumpkins were also the focal point for Julie Mayhew and crew from Hy-Vee in Charles City, judged winner for Best Use of Theme.
Tad Barry is with Zoetis, winners for the Best Creative Presentation.
Organized by Main Street Charles City, this year’s event along the Riverfront Park Trail was free for children 12 and younger, although free will donations were accepted.
