New Hampton Public Library Marks 125th Anniversary With Friday (11.01) Open House

The New Hampton Public Library will mark its 125th Anniversary with an Open House starting at 5 pm Friday (11.01).

That’s library director Carrie Becker, who says the event also features guest speaker, Shana Stewart, at 5:30 pm.

Stewart’s presentation will also include background on the history of the New Hampton Public Library’s connection with all of the Iowa Carnegie Libraries. 

Hors d’oeuvres will be served during the open house, which is free and open to the public. 

Becker says the library could also use more volunteers to help with face painting from 9 am to noon Saturday (11.02) as part of the citywide Holiday Open House across New Hampton.
