Holiday lights will soon illuminate Central Park in Charles City, with fireworks also set to soon light the night sky over the Cedar River.
Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Mark Wicks addressed the City Council Monday (11.18) to formally request the closure of the Main Street bridge for a holiday fireworks display at 7 pm Saturday (11.30), November 30.
There will be festivities before the fireworks show as well.
Businesses, churches and organizations participating have already begun assembling their displays for the Rotary’s “Santa’s Shining Lights” in Central Park.
