Register for Rides With Santa in Charles City Dec. 21-22

Registration is now open for “Rides with Santa” next month in Charles City.

Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Mark Wicks says Main Street Charles City has expanded their offerings for the weekend of December 21-22.

Rides are available each evening from 4 to 7 pm and will depart from Central Park at the corner of Kelly and North Jackson streets.

Rides are $5 per person, or rent out the entire wagon for a private ride of up to 10 people for $50. Pre-registration is encouraged due to sellouts in recent years. Walk-ups the day-of will be accepted only if space is available, and you may have to wait for a time slot opening. 

Rides can be purchased at charlescitychamber.com under “News” or at Main Street Charles City at 401 North Main Street.

Wicks also notes that the Santa House has been placed in Central Park.

Santa Claus’ first face-to-face session with the kids at the Santa House, from 5 to 7 pm this Saturday (11.30), coincides with the launch of the Satellite Rotary Club’s “Santa’s Shining Lights” display.
