Charles City Basketball Teams to “Pack-the-Gym” Tuesday (12.17) Night

Charles City High School basketball teams are looking to “Pack-the-Gym” Tuesday (12.17) night.

Activities Director Dana Sullivan notes there’s been a schedule change for the basketball lineup games. Due to circumstances beyond their control, New Hampton is not able to play the JV girls game. However, the Riceville JV girls team will step in to face the Charles City JV girls at 6:15 pm.

Tuesday’s “Pack-the-Gym” schedule begins with 9th and 10th grade boys basketball between Charles City and New Hampton, followed by the JV boys with New Hampton at 5:15 pm. The varsity boys matchup between the Comets and Chickasaws will cap off the night, starting at 7:30 pm.

Sullivan advises fans that game start times are approximate times and they will play games ahead of schedule if possible.

Sullivans says ALL students from ALL schools get in FREE, thanks to the efforts of Tiffany Rottinghaus to line up sponsors. Hy-Vee will be donating a meal for ALL students to eat for FREE.  Adults meals will be $8 as a fundraiser for the Comet Booster Club. The concession stand will be limited to drinks, popcorn and candy.
