Deadline Sunday (01.05) for New Hampton-Turkey Valley Shared Superintendent Applications

One of the initial phases in the process to find a successor to New Hampton/Turkey Valley shared Superintendent Jay Jurrens is slated to come to a close this weekend.
Jurrens will retire at the end of the 2024-25 school year (June 30, 2025) and the two school districts have contracted with Grundmeyer Leader Services to assist with recruiting applicants to replace him. This Sunday (01.05) is the deadline to submit applications.
As of 3 pm Friday (01.03), New Hampton Schools’ business manager, Christy Roethler, said nine applications have been received.
New Hampton School Board President Jay Matthews says candidate screenings will follow, starting January 20th. Formal interviews are then slated to begin the week of February 6th, with a final decision shortly thereafter.
Jurrens has been the shared superintendent with Turkey Valley the past eight years and the New Hampton superintendent a total of 13 years.
