GoFundMe Established for North Iowa House Fire Victims

A GoFundMe account has been established to help a north Iowa family who lost their home and belongings in a fire earlier this week.
Crews from the Marble Rock, Greene, Rockford and Dougherty fire departments responded to a house fire at 115 Main Street North in Marble Rock shortly before 10 pm Tuesday (01.21) night and were on scene until almost 4 am Wednesday (01.22) morning.
MRFD said in a Facebook post, “The fire had too much of a head start on us to be able to save the house, but everyone made it out safely and there were no injuries to any personnel on scene. There was no damage to any surrounding structures. Cold temperatures also hampered our efforts.”
According to the National Weather Service in La Crosse, temps at the time of the blaze would have been between 5 and 10 above zero.
Everyone inside the home, plus several pets evacuated the house safely.
The home of Matt and Tasha Holland is a total loss and a GoFundMe account has been set up on behalf of the Hollands and their children, Hunter, Bentley, and Brayleigh. As of 8 am Friday (01.24), over $1,700 had been raised towards a goal of $4,000.
Donations can also be made through Venmo (@MX3KY) and CashApp ($KYMX3) accounts
