Charles City Mobile Food Pantry February Distribution Wednesday (02.05)

It’s the first Wednesday of the month, which means the Charles City Mobile Food Pantry is gearing up for its February distribution of food to those in need.
Food for the first-Wednesday-of-the month distribution at the Floyd County Fairgrounds is provided by the Northeast Iowa Food Bank, one of several sites for which they supply food.
That’s Charles City Mobile Food Pantry organizer Jen Burton, who notes that any household that qualifies can receive food from any one of those sites, but there are some caveats.
Burton says there are various ways to be eligible to receive free food.
Drive-thru distribution for Wednesday’s Charles City Mobile Food Pantry is from 5 to 6 pm at the Floyd County Fairgrounds.
Burton says between 300 and 330 households come through each month, with another 50 households served by home delivery.
