Rocky Mountain Oyster Fundraiser Benefits Alta Vista FD, Chickasaw County EMS

This weekend’s Fourth Annual Rocky Mountain Oyster Fundraiser will benefit the Alta Vista Fire Department and Chickasaw County EMS.

EMS Director Joel Knutson says this year’s free will donation feed is again hosted at Jerico Jo’s, just east of Highway 63, about 10 miles north of New Hampton. 

They’ll shoot to top last year’s feed that brought in around $20,000 for the two entities.

Knutson says the Alta Vista Fire Department will use proceeds for upfitting and outfitting their grass fire pickup and ATV, while funds will help EMS purchase warming blankets and training equipment.
