Charles City Mobile Food Pantry March Distribution Rescheduled

Due to blizzard conditions last Wednesday (03.05), the first Wednesday-of-the-month distribution of food to those in need by the Charles City Mobile Food Pantry had to be postponed.
With travel on roads deemed potentially hazardous, the Northeast Iowa Food Bank, which supplies the food for the Charles City Mobile Food Pantry, opted not to send the food trucks from Waterloo to Charles City out of safety for their drivers.
Charles City Mobile Food Pantry organizer Jen Burton says the March drive-through distribution of food has now been rescheduled for Monday, March 17th, from 5 to 6 pm at the Floyd County Fairgrounds.
Burton says between 300 and 330 households come through each month, with another 50 households served by home delivery.
