The first-ever fundraising gala hosted by Floyd County Medical Center (FCMC) on February 28th at the Floyd County Fairgrounds was a rousing success.
That’s Makenzie McNeil, FCMC Director of Marketing and Community Engagement, who notes that expectations were pretty modest when they started planning the Charles City hospital’s 60th anniversary celebration.
McNeil adds that the gala was a testament to the public’s investment in the future of the healthcare services FCMC can provide.
McNeil says it’s too early to tell if and when a second gala could be in the works, but the feedback from the first event that people would like to see it happen again in future is highly encouraging and duly appreciated.
