Charles City Police Department Humbled by Community Equipment Donations

The Charles City Police Department recently received donations of bags and ballistics.
Police Chief Hugh Anderson says officers will be safer with new ballistic shields and helmets.
Anderson says raising the money to purchase the protective gear was spearheaded by Mike Molstead of Molstead Motors in Charles City.
Five training bags have also been donated to CCPD, courtesy Jay Jung Farm Bureau Financial Services and Snap Fitness.
Anderson says he’s very appreciative of the continued community support of the police department.
Total value of the ballistic shields and helmets and training bags is estimated at almost $40,000.
