strong wind gusts persisting into Wednesday morning. Wind gusts over
50 mph are expected. Much of the area has 6 inches or more of snow

drifting of snow. Near white-out and blizzard conditions may occur.

* WHAT...Blizzard conditions possible. Light snow and snow showers
are possible. Winds gusts over 50 mph are expected.

* WHERE...Portions of central, north central, northeast, northwest,
and west central Iowa.

Fundraising Card Party Sunday (03.30) for Chickasaw Event Center, First $2,500 Challenge Match Met

The Chickasaw Event Center in New Hampton will host a Card Party this Sunday (03.30) to raise funds for upgrades and repairs to the facility.

Center Director Janet Pickar says card players will compete to become champions in bridge and euchre, with most proceeds going towards the roof replacement project.

Pickar says another avenue for fundraising recently became available.

A Facebook update Thursday (03.27) celebrated that donations had reached the $2,500 level, kicking in the challenge match, for a total contribution of $5,000. Another $2,5000 matching challenge is now active.

For more information on this Sunday’s Card Party at 1 pm, contact Pickar at 641-394-3173 or visit Chickasaw Event Center CEC on Facebook.
