Floyd County Senior Deputy Retiring, Final Day on Job Friday (04.04)

Floyd County Sheriff’s ()FCSO) Senior Deputy Brian Tiedemann is retiring, a decision he says he’s considered for about three years.
Tiedemann’s service includes 7.5 years with the Charles City Police Department, followed by the last 26.5 years with FCSO. During that time, Tiedemann says one case helped change his law enforcement path.
Tiedemann says being a peace officer gets in your blood.
Tiedemann’s last day with FCSO will be Friday (04.04), when he’ll sign off for the final time at 2:30 pm.
Retirement for Tiedemann will likely include a lot of fishing since he says his fishing pole hasn’t hit the water in three-to-four years.
