Shelter Available for Reservations at New Hampton Inclusive Playground

Kindness Square Inclusive Playground was declared “officially” open during grand opening ceremonies last June in New Hampton’s Runion Park. 

Thus, 2025 marks its first full season of being open for kids of all abilities and disabilities to play on the various playground features. New Hampton Park-Rec Director Tara Hackman says it’s also a great place for family events like reunions and birthdays.

Hackman says increasing accessibility to those with physical limitations or special needs is also in the works at Mikkelson Park.

For more information on booking shelters at Kindness Square Inclusive Playground or at Mikkelson Park, contact the New Hampton Park-Rec Department, which is also accepting applications for seasonal help, including pool lifeguards.
